The bikes were really great condition, very powerful and easy to use. A great way to explore the island. The owner sent us a maps ahead of time so we were able to plan out our day and he was extremely quick with communication. Really recommend on your visit to Gozo!

Kontakt, Abwicklung und Routenplanung per Handy okay, daher zwei Sterne. Aber beide Fahrräder in keinem verkehrssicheren Zustand: Bremsen packten nicht zuverlässig (gerade bei einigen Abfahren lebensgefährlich), meine Kette sprang ein paarmal ab (entsprechend sah ich aus), beide Räder zogen permanent nach rechts, mein Akku hatte immer wieder Aussetzer, Vorderlicht defekt (dafür Batterielampe montiert), Display bei einem Rad zersplittert, zudem die Lager defekt, Man merkt, dass die Räder nie eine fachgerechte Inspektion bekommen. Hinterher auch so offen kommuniziert. Bot darauf hin Nachlass an und dass die Räder hätten jederzeit getauscht werden können... Hilft nicht, wenn man den ganzen Tag unterwegs sein möchte und die anderen Räder ähnlich aussehen. Würde dort nicht nochmal mieten.

Obsuga miła. Stan rowerów kicha. Brudne, pierwsze usterki zaczęły wychodzić po kilku kilometrach. Samo zwiedzanie na rowerach na tak, ale nie na tym sprzęcie.kpmpletny brak jakiegokolwiek serwisu i dbania o sprzęt. Szkoda......😭

We really enjoyed the e-bikes. They were very good and the service was fantastic. We had to call the guy and waited for 5 minutes in front of the garage. Also returning the bikes was very easy. We can really recommend.

I dropped in day of with no reservation as a last minute decision and going with the reviews - everything thats said is true. Rental was fast and uncomplicated. Bike was perfect for Gozo. Igor is very patient and helpful with everything. I was able to see so much of the island at my own pace and find some nice spots. This was hands down the highlight of my trip and I’m so happy I came here! One note - I would highly recco making a reservation as there is no physical storefront and is a garage/storage space with the bikes. I was lucky as he happened to already be there as other people (who likely made reservations) were renting bikes from him.

Spontane Vermietung war problemlos möglich (einfacher Abhol- und Rückgabeprozess). Abholung der Fahrräder in einer Garage. Fahrräder in sehr gutem Zustand. Die dicken Reifen helfen auf den hügligen Straßen. Akku hatten eine gute Reichweite (circa 80 km) und stärke Unterstützung beim Fahren. Kontakt sehr freundlich. Wir empfehlen 😊

Llegamos a gozo pensando que podríamos recorrer la isla andando pero no es posible y de casualidad encontramos las bicis de Igor, una maravilla, antes de decir nada de las bicis el es una persona encantadora, nos resolvió todas las dudas y a mayores nos dió una ruta que nos llevó a sitios muy bonitos de interés, las bicicletas estaban en perfecto estado, subían las cuestas más complicadas y gracias a las ruedas que tienen se podía pasar por cualquier tipo de zona, sin duda un servicio excelente y a muy buen precio, cabe destacar que nos llevamos los chalecos sin querer y nos dio todas las facilidades para devolverlos muy comunicativo y amable, a la llegada te explica cómo usarlas y como dejarlas de manera autónoma, en resumen me parece una manera de ver la isla mas divertida y económica.

Definitely worth finding Igor at Mela Bikes! Easy pick-up and drop-off near the ferry landing. Big, tough MATE e-bikes that can handle the bumps, narrow streets and off-road trails all around Gozo. Powerful enough to handle the steep ups from the beaches. Lots of coastal views to find with a little work.

We rented two bikes with my girlfriend to explore Gozo in a day, and it was fantastic. Don’t worry if you don’t see any shops when you arrive — the bikes are kept in a garage at the location indicated on google maps. The owner gave us a very warm welcome, explained how the bikes work, and provided helmets and vests so we could return safely after sunset. The bikes are comfortable and have long battery life, making it easy to tour the whole island. The big plus is the flexible schedule, which really lets you enjoy the entire day!

Mela Bike's MADE my holiday!! Never been on an electronic bike before but they are FAB!! Such a great way to travel around Gozo! So fast & zippy, made the whole island easily accessble (thick all terrain tyes & great suspension), can get to places you can't get to in bus or car! and it made light work of the many steep hills - and soo much fun free-wheeling back down them 🙂 The bike gives you so much freedom, to go wherever you want & stay in each place as long as you want - & communication and support from Mela bikes was great, any issues while you're out on the bike & they'll come to you to sort (the only issue i had was doing SOOO much biking round the island from 10am to 7pm that I ran the very extensive battery out lol - & they drove to me & would have changed the battery but decided to accept a lift home instead & call it a day) The island is safe so no need to lock the bikes up & can leave them unattended (just removing the key & taking it with you) & most of the roads were quite quiet to cycle on & long hire times, day hire is from 10am to 9pm. I had the bike for 3 days & saw SOOO much (Dwerja Bay, Xlendi bay, Sannat & Sanap Cliffs, Mgarr ix-Xini bay, Ramla Beach, Marsalforn, Salt pans, Wield il-Ghasri, Wied il-Mielah window, Xwejni bay)

Très bonne expérience ! Les velos sont de bonnes qualités et roulent tres bien sur les petites routes escarpées. L’itineraire conseillé permet de s’eloigner des routes très empruntées et de decouvrir de superbes points de vue ! Très bonne communication avec le pro ! À faire sans hesiter pour decouvrir cette belle ile !

Wypożyczaliśmy rowery przed sezonem. Niestety były bardzo ubłocone. Ja rozumię że opony ale rama również była (zdjęcia). W jednym rowerze przerzutka ocierała o oponę na ostatnim biegu, więc nie dało się z niej korzystać. W drugim rowerze brakło baterii i ostatnie kilka km z Victorii trzeba było przejechać bez wspomagania. Czyli nie starczyło na 50km i 90kg wagi. Może trafił mi się rower z felerną baterią ale piszę swoje doświadczenie. Kontakt i całość oceniam na plus.

Brilliant e-bike rental on Gozo! I didn't like the vibe at the touristy centre near the port who tried to force me to rent a more expensive bike, so I headed 10mins from the port to Mela Bike instead. Great bike that allowed me to cover 60km around the island (out from 1 to 9pm with lots of stops), super flexible on the return time, friendly service, and at the same price as the other e-bike options near the ferry. I had the best day of my holiday exploring the island - thank you! Note: Mela Bike does not have a shop front - the bikes are kept in a garage and the owner will come out and meet you with it. Drop them a message in advance or when you get there and they'll come out and meet you.

Excellent bikes! Really helpful and friendly service. We had an incredible day rising around the island seeing all the main sights and stopping for a dip in the sea. The island is super safe and you can leave the bikes comfortably without needing to lock them up. We loved that we were not restricted on what time for return the bikes giving us total freedom to explore the island without having to stress! I whole heartedly recommend this company for bike hiring. The bikes are collected from a residential street with an underground garage. Don't let this put you off. Thank you!

Good experience. eBike was fine and battery was really capable. It really lasts long when used on "3 level assistance". No shady deposit required, which is a good point, at least for me.

We huurden vandaag 4 fietsen. De verhuurder was zeer vriendelijk en gaf ons duidelijke instructies. We kregen een GPS route mee die perfect werkte. We hadden als gezin enorm veel plezier. We zouden zeker nog voor mela bikes kiezen.

We came here after being deterred by the touristic bike rental directly at the ferry terminal and were positively surprised by the friendly welcoming attitude of the Mela bike rental owner. We have not reserved any bikes, however he came to the bike garage 5 mins after I called them. He explained the functionality of the bikes to us, let us make a test drive and also the payment was very uncomplicated without any paperwork. We could return the bikes on our own with no pressure to bring them back to a certain time. That gave us the freedom to discover the island to the fullest. Thanks so much again! I can really recommend this bike rental.

I chose Mela Bike for me and my girlfriend after reading the great reviews, and I couldn’t have made a better choice! We had an amazing day exploring the whole island, going up and down even the steepest streets and the e-bikes performed flawlessly every time. The battery lasted all day without any issues and they were comfortable, one even had a handy phone holder. Make sure to book the bikes in advance, as the activity doesn’t have a physical office. A super cool guy will deliver the bikes to you on request, he’s very polite and accommodating, giving advice and a brief tutorial on how to use them if it's your first time! Totally recommended
